An honors graduate of both Valparaiso University, where he received his B.S. in biology and chemistry, and the University Of Illinois School Of Dentistry, Dr. McClenahan received his postgraduate Certificate as a Specialist in Periodontics at the University Of Illinois School Of Dentistry, where he was appointed an Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics. Dr. McClenahan has completed the Carl Misch Implant Fellowship at the Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, a program known throughout the world for its prestige and high level of professional training.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and was asked to address his colleagues on the Diplomate Certification process at their annual meeting. He has presented various topics in periodontics at the Chicago Dental Society’s Midwinter meetings. He is a member of the dental staff at Lake Forest Hospital.
Dr. McClenahan is an active member of several national and professional organizations including the American Board of Periodontology, American Academy of Oral Implantology, American Dental Association, Illinois Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society.
Dr. McClenahan has two daughters. He spends his free time enjoying his family and cycling.
